Here is a short list of foods that are beneficial for eye health:

Blueberries – as source of carotenoids, anthocyanins

Broccoli, collard greens, kale, green peas, red cabbage– as sources of lutein, the carotenoid that promotes eye health and helps prevent cataracts

Red and Orange bell pepper –as source of zeaxanthin

Spinach – as source of lutein/zeaxanthin, beta-carotene

Tomatoes – as source of lycopene, alpha and beta-carotene, lutein/zeaxanthin

Walnuts and walnut oil – anti-inflammatory properties

Kiwi – as source of lutein/zeaxanthin

Let us not forget the carrots, and fresh carrot juice to help improve eye health.
