Hyaluronic Acid is an excellent supplement to assist in the reformation of damaged tissue. Its specific chemical shape and compound greatly help to speed up the healing of damaged muscle, cartilage, and skin cells within the body. Hyaluronic acid is actually produced  naturally by our bodies, however, the supplement allows for an abundance to be produced, allowing the body to have more of the material it needs to repair damaged tissues and cells.

Facial lines and features that can be corrected using hyaluronic acid injections include:

  • Frown lines (glabellar lines)
  • Smoker’s lines (perioral lines)
  • Marionette lines (oral commissures)
  • Worry lines (forehead lines)
  • Crow’s feet (periorbital lines)
  • Deep smile lines (nasolabial furrows)
  • Cheek depressions
  • Lip border re-definition
  • Acne scars
  • Certain facial scars

The effect of the hyaluronic acid injections on the treated areas is immediately obvious, however, an additional one or two treatments (at least a week apart) may be recommended in order to achieve your desired result.

Vitamins & Supplements

The use of vitamins and herbal supplements are often employed as a natural means of slowing the aging process. The theory behind this is to provide nutrition which helps keep vital organs functioning at optimal efficiency, maintain healthy skin tone, and assist the mind to remain sharp and focused throughout our lives.

For general maintenance of our body, vitamins that are considered antioxidants and classified as anti-aging supplements. Vitamin C is among those vitamins which are essential to preventing aging. Sometimes referred to as a youth vitamin, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), maintains proper collagen levels which help keep our skin smooth and supple. Vitamin C also helps in developing strong teeth and immune systems while helping to cleanse the blood.

The family of B vitamins are also considered to be anti-aging vitamins. Some of these such as riboflavin, contain properties that promote healthy teeth, nails, and hair. Others, such as thiamine, help promote healthy production of neurotransmitters in the brain that help maintain cognition and a stable mood. A number of the B vitamins are water-soluble, meaning they do not store in the body for long periods and need to be taken on a daily basis.

Vitamin A is another example of an anti-aging vitamin. This vitamin is understood to fight infection by boosting the recuperative powers of the body while also strengthening the immune system. Vitamin A is also credited with fending off senility in later years, along with promoting proper digestion and minimizing the effects of airborne pollutants on the various systems within the body.

Tocopheral (Vitamin E), helps build and maintain proper muscle function within the body including supporting the function of the lungs and heart. When taken in conjunction with other anti-aging vitamins, Vitamin E can help the body to better absorb A and B vitamins.
