Toby’s passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) started from year 2002 when her mother was completely cured by TCM for a severe case of Cervical Spondylotic
Myelopathy, a condition where the spinal cord is compressed in the neck. After being kept in her bed for over a year, she was referred for surgery. After visiting the hospital many times, Toby’s mother learned that many of the patients were experiencing general paralysis after the surgery, and so she refused to have the procedure. Instead, she decided to try an alternative approach with TCM which ultimately turned out to be a great decision as this led to her complete recovery.
After seeing the incredible results her mother experienced, Toby decided to take her mother’s advice and try TCM treatments for her own severe acne, which she had been suffering with for more than a decade at that time. After only three months of Chinese herb and Acupuncture treatments, the acne was cleared.
Since then, Toby’s whole family have immersed themselves into the study of TCM. Toby decided to attend the Canadian Education Center of Beijing University of TCM – Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM) and upon graduation, she successfully gained her TCM licenses in both Alberta and BC. She then continued to study and practice in China for another 3 years, during which time she had the honor of following several different well known mentors from hospital to hospital to accumulate more experience in a variety of medical areas. Some of these Doctors and focus areas include:
•Followed Dr. Su Lu in Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM in Postnatal Recovery and treatment for Women Specific Health Problems
•Followed Dr. Chao Bao in Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM in treatment for Autism, ADHD, and CP
•Followed Dr. Canruo Sheng and Dr. Xu Wu in Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM for intensive study of acupuncture
•Followed Dr. Zhaoqin Ma in Jinan Hospital of TCM for intensive study of moxibustion in treatment for various difficult diseases
• Followed Dr. Lixiang Ruan in Cheers Acupuncture and Herbs in Calgary, AB for intensive study of herbology for 3 years
In 2013, TCM and Acupuncture became a regulated health profession in the province of Ontario, and Toby now holds this license which allows her to practice asa Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac). Toby practices with a noticeable passion for her work and she is committed to helping people achieve their wellness goals and find relief from several conditions using natural alternatives to medication. She feels blessed to see her patients improving and feeling better after each treatment, and this furthers her commitment to her profession.
In her spare time, Toby enjoys being outdoors weather, biking, hiking or bird watching. She also enjoys Tai Chi and good food!

David Nortman is a graduate of the University of Toronto (philosophy and chemistry), the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and numerous postgraduate courses of study in classical homeopathy. He is licensed as Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario and Saskatchewan, and his clinical services are covered by most extended health-insurance plans.
Dr. Nortman’s clinical approach is based on his world-class expertise in classical homeopathy (the original and deepest-acting form of homeopathy), which promotes healing of both physical and psychological conditions by addressing their underlying causes at the mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. He also practices Bowen therapy, a gentle yet powerful hands-on treatment for musculoskeletal and related conditions. Both homeopathy and Bowen therapy ideally complement the other naturopathic modalities practiced at MNHC.
Dr. Nortman has published articles in homeopathic journals, is writing a textbook on homeopathy, is pursuing a Masters degree in philosophy of science, and works with patients worldwide on a long-distance basis. He is also a professional classical singer and conductor, a career which he has set aside to pursue his passion for helping people heal.
Growing up, I loved to know as much as possible about how the world works. I read as much as I could, and sought a deep understanding of the natural world and human existence. Early on I thought I would become a scientist or engineer. But when I moved away from home to begin my university studies, I developed a skin eruption. I was prescribed a corticosteroid cream to suppress the inflammation, which I was horrified to learn was chronic and possibly lifelong. At the same time the doctor agreed that the condition had been caused by stress. Something didn’t match up in my mind: If this condition was stress-related, how did the cream address the cause of the problem? I soon began searching for a method of addressing the underlying stress. This led me to classical homeopathy, a system of medicine capable of bringing balance to the disharmony that underlies acute and chronic conditions. As my skin condition gradually resolved, my understanding of health and disease and general worldview were transformed forever, and I decided I would study homeopathy and naturopathic medicine.
Now, as a naturopathic doctor and classical homeopath, I apply my big-picture understanding of determinants of health, honed through years of formal and continuing education and a decade of experience, to each patient’s unique pattern of illness.

Lina Gantous is a licensed Energy healing by N.A.H.H.P (National Association of Holistic Health Practitioners) with 10 years of experience in energy healing. Through her many years of experience she has helped patients suffering from wide range of conditions such as digestive problems, mild MS, bipolar disorder, heart palpitation, hormonal issues, anxiety, and stress to name a few.
I have obtained various certificates, starting my journey with an intensive 4 years learning, to get my Naturopath degree from Reidman International College for Complementary Medicine. The following years I have helped patients using Naturopathy, Bach Remedy, Aromatherapy and Reflexology with great success. After studying a course in Bio-Orgonomy, that I was invited to by a friend, I realized that being more in tune with the Universe’s energy would make it easier for me to help my patients with their physical and mental challenges using energy healing. Currently, I use a combination of everything I have learned to customize a healing technique to reach the best results for each individual. I believe that energy healing is not something you learn in a class, rather something you gain during the life experiences the Universe has set out for every one of us

Ernest Geid is a Canadian Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, he is the owner and founder of “Osteopathy First”, he has a vast hands-on clinical experience in Osteoarticular Techniques, Myofacial Release and Craniosacral Therapy. Ernest hold a Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP). He is delivering Osteopathy Techniques using Multi-Modal Approach and European Style Osteopathy. Ernest is an international graduate Medical Doctor and hold Master of Science in Rheumatology, in addition, he holds a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from National University of Medical Sciences in Spain.
Ernest strongly believe in the 4 principles of Osteopathy:
- Each body’s structure supports the body’s functions. If a structure is out of place, the body will not function at its best.
- The natural flow of the body’s fluids – lymphatic, vascular and neurological – must be preserved and maintained.
- The human body is the sum of its parts. Its physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive systems work in harmony.
- When the body has no restrictions, it has the inherent ability to heal itself.
Ernest as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner identify, assess, and treat the body’s structures and rhythms using a gentle, hands-on approach. This fundamental technique is called osteopathic palpation. Osteopathic palpation is what makes osteopathy different from other forms of therapy. Ernest use four major treatment techniques in his practice:
- Osteopathic Articular Technique: used to reduce muscle spasms near a joint, ease neurological irritations around a joint, make joints more mobile & reduce pain and discomfort
- Craniosacral Therapy: This is the gentlest osteopathic technique, and it requires the most experience to use effectively and wisely. The goal of this technique is to adjust the body’s physiology by restoring balance to the circulation of the blood and other body fluids.
- Soft Tissue Therapy & Myofascial Release: used in many different ways. In general, he uses it to evaluate the condition of tissues and to help the body’s fluids (such as blood and lymphatic fluid) flow smoothly. Keeping fluids flowing smoothly reduces harmful fluid retention and makes the body’s immune system more effective.
- Visceral Manipulation: used to gently move the structures themselves and the fascia that surrounds the structures to restore full movement of organs. Most patients treated with visceral manipulation feel only gentle pressure of the osteopathic manual practitioner’s hand. But the corrections are powerful enough to improve the mobility of an organ, improve blood flow, and help the organ function more effectively.
Ernest has a Professional Membership in the following Osteopathy Associations:
- National Manual Osteopathic Society (NMOS)
- Ontario Osteopathic & Alternative Medicine Association (OOAMA)
- Society of Osteopaths of Canada (SOC)
