TCM ANALYSIS: TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)has been used to treat allergies for hundreds of years, and the results have been remarkable for allergic conditions such as asthma, eczema, and food allergies. Studies imply that a TCM protocol involving Acupressure, Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can benefit people with allergic rhinitis. Acupuncture and TCM are among the modalities that are greatly preferred as a way of treating Allergies

Acupuncture Treatment Points: The combination of certain acupuncture points depending on the condition and the acuteness is been found to be very effective in the treatment of Allergies.
Specific for allergy: trigger points in the Lung, and Spleen channel enriches the Yin and moistens the lung.
Good for coughing, difficult in breathing. For acute allergic attacks, a combination of Lung points and a point in the middle of the chest will disseminate and descend Lung Qi, also will cool and soothe the blood.
Between attacks, Acupuncture points in the Stomach, Liver, Spleen, and Large Intestine channel will be beneficial in regulating and invigorating the blood, this treatment will expel dampness and alleviate eczema and urticaria, commonly known as hives.
It is suggested that specific acupuncture points boosts the body’s energy by reprogramming so it does not react to harmful substances; it adjusts the secretion of neurotransmitters and neuro-hormones, and the regulates blood flow, helping alleviate allergy symptoms.
Other Treatments:
Reflexology: is based on the principle that the stimulation of certain points in the feet, hands, and/or head will have a “reflexive” action to organs, glands, tissues and other parts of the body. This system gives the therapist an additional method for addressing a problem area of the body in this case Allergies.
This natural therapy involves dissolving blockages on all levels by stimulating the spinal reflex points on the feet, hands and head. Through the clearing of these blockages, healing is promoted, and balance is restored.
The treatment of Reflexology on specific points addressing the adrenal glands will produce cortisol which regulates the metabolism and the balance between salt and water levels. Also good results have been notice when the pineal gland which secretes hormones controlling glands and body organs are stimulated.
